Our Lady of the Valley School Board serves with the school Principal for the good of the school community. Today's Catholic school Principal, with the many demands which are made, needs assistance from a group of people who are committed to the Catholic school and are willing to work for the good of the school and parish and this is what OLV's school board accomplishes.
Our Lady of the Valley School Board is a representative body of the parents of Our Lady of the Valley School, Our Lady of the Valley parishioners, and community leaders. This body is elected to work closely with the Pastor, the principal, and the Diocesan Office of Education in the spirit of cooperation and interdependence in an effort to enable the school to attain the goals and objectives of Catholic education. The primary responsibility of the School Board is to define and develop the policies which govern the operation of the school and advice the principal and pastor of the recommendations. The Pastor, upon advice of the School Board, makes policy for the school. The school board also advises the school Administration and plans activities to support the school financially. OLV School Board meets at the school on the third Tuesday of each month at 5:30 pm.
